Frame Mod – Short Neck Grudge | Suzuki Hayabusa Gen1 & Gen2 Built for racers chasing maximum front-end stability and aggressive weight reduction, the DME Racing Short Neck Grudge Frame Modification transforms your Hayabusa chassis into a purpose-built platform for grudge and extreme drag racing. This modification shortens the steering neck area and replaces the factory structure with a new reinforced plate-style neck design, improving rigidity while removing unnecessary weight. During the process, the OEM motor mounts are cut flush from the frame, and lightweight mounts are precision welded back on to support the radiator and fairing components. The modification also changes the motorcycle’s front-end geometry. The short neck design provides approximately 1″ of additional fork drop, lowering the front of the bike and reducing overall ground clearance. In addition, the modification shortens the wheelbase by approximately 0.25″, helping shift weight bias forward and improve front-end stability under hard acceleration. The result is a cleaner, lighter, race-ready chassis engineered to withstand the brutal launches and horsepower levels common in grudge and extreme turbo classes.
