I’ve used various BSMP skins over the years, as they are a local Montana company. With their new mohair mix, the debate seems settled in my mind that they’ve progressed into the best skin manufacturer, without qualifier. My set of mohair mix skins has seen the summit of Denali, been up to 25,000ft in Pakistan, and been put through countless, abusive, bushwhacking filled days – yet they have never, not once, failed to do their job without issue or shown wear n’ tear beyond a scuff mark or two. The most remarkable aspect is they are a lightweight, modern mohair mix that is very durable. I’ve have a lot of trouble with skin longevity from other brands, and that seems to no longer be an issue, all while not being bulky or heavy and having just the right mix of glide and stick.
