Georgian Vertical Cooker Switch Polished Brass Lacquered & White Trim

A Vertical 45 Amp Double Pole Cooker Switch with Indicator on a Georgian style plate made from solid brass with a Polished Brass Lacquered finish.The Georgian style of plate is characterized by the rope detailing around the edge that is associated with this particular period and architectural style. This design can also be found in other architectural items from the period such as door furniture and lighting. It is a quality, heavy cast plate that also has a practical advantage of being slightly larger than some other plate styles (whilst still fitting to a standard back box) so can be useful to cover up messy plastering around the plate edge.Lacquered Polished Brass should retain the bright shiny appearance for a period and should not be polished with abrasive polishes/cleaners as this will break down the lacquer. Like paint and varnish, with use and over time the lacquer will break down causing the items to look “scruffy” and require attention. Clean with a soft damp cloth followed by an application of a quality wax polish.We recommend using a minimum 35mm depth backbox with this product to give a comfortable amount of space for the wiring behind the plate.Dimensions:Height: 96mm; Width: 157mm
