Built for racers who demand absolute reliability, Marine Crankshafts are fully forged and precision-finished from premium E4340 aircraft-grade billet steel. Trusted by DME Racing’s championship-winning team bikes, these crankshafts deliver the strength, balance, and performance you need to push harder on race day. FEATURES Unmatched Strength & Durability – Triple heat-treated for extreme toughness under the most punishing race conditions. Optimized Oiling System – High-speed straight-line oiling ensures consistent lubrication at maximum RPM. Dynamic “No Holes” Balance – Engineered for smoother operation and reduced vibration at high horsepower levels. Lightened for Performance – Through-pin lightning holes reduce rotating mass without sacrificing strength. Superior Wear Resistance – Ion-plasma nitride finish provides outstanding journal surface hardness and extended service life. Race-Ready Weight – At just 21 lbs. (vs. 24.6 lbs. stock), these cranks shave off critical pounds for quicker acceleration. It contains approximately 0.8% chromium, 1.8% nickel, and 25% molybdenum. Combining these elements assures deep and uniform hardness when heat-treated, particularly when oil is quenched. It possesses exceptional ductility and toughness and remarkably high fatigue strength, snaking E4340 the steel for highly stressed parts operating under heavy-duty conditions. It also maintains its strength and hardness while operating under extremely elevated temperatures. E4340 is most typically used in highly stressed parts that must operate under severe conditions. It is commonly used in the aircraft and missile industries.
